Project Orpheus
September 17 - 25, 2010 at ACT Theatre.
Based on the tragic Greek myth of Orpheus and Eurydice, Project Orpheus showcases the choreography of Wade Madsen (Seattle choreographer/performer, Professor at Cornish College of the Arts), Eva Stone (Artistic Director of The Stone Dance Collective), and Olivier Wevers (Principal at Pacific Northwest Ballet, Artistic Director of Whim W'him). This original, modern dance interpretation is one of a kind and will take you on a thrilling journey into the underworld. Witness furies, snakes, and powerful creatures as they interact passionately with Orpheus and Eurydice.
Originally created in the Bullitt Cabaret at ACT in 2008, Project Orpheus will open Seattle Dance Project’s 2010-2011 season and be restaged in the round for ACT’s Allen Theatre.
